The Gardens

Sadly it is getting cold outside and our days at the gardens will be limited. We still visit in the winter but never go past the lobby area. The model railroad trains were put into storage for the winter a couple of weeks ago, but before they did we went to see them one last time until next year. It was a beautiful day and the trees were vibrant and at the peak of changing colors! Despite the beautiful fall day there was no one there. The gardens have volunteers that watch the model railroad garden in case trains de-rail or there are problems with the track. There are also areas where kids can touch the trains, although they are not allowed to. The guy that was there noticed Brevin's love for trains and invited him into the conductors shed. Brevin has always watched the trains "puff through the tunnel" as he calls it but has never gone in as it is not open to the public. This particular day was special! Brevin was able to go in the "tunnel!" One day when we move from Omaha I will miss this place! If you ever visit I highly recommend a visit to the gardens!!
